Pregnancy

It is a unique time with a lot of chances. I would like to accompany you through this exciting time with lot of joy and concerns.

Costs: The health insurance company covers up to 6 prenatal check ups.

Prenatal course / consultation

I will give you and your partner/companion information for the labor and the postnatal time.
Topics are:
- pregnancy and changes
- labor and the different stages
- labor pain management, labor positions
- postpartum
- nutrition of the newborn
- breastfeeding
- physical exercises.
The duration depends on the need.

Costs: 90 CHF per hour, the health insurance company reimburse up to 150 CHF

Postpartum care

The postpartum is a sensitive stage in your life and needs attention. This phase includes the first 56 days after giving birth.
I accompany you at home and observe the healing process of the mother, give support to breastfeed, observe the well being and the thriving of the baby, give advice for baby care, show how to tie the baby-sling
...and I am contact person for questions, concerns, whenever it is needed.

Costs: Depending on your personal history, the health insurance company covers 10-16 visits during postpartum.
Within the first 10 days after the birth, a second visit will be offered if required.

Lactation consultation

As qualified IBCLC, I am pleased to give advise and accompany you through lactation / breastfeeding period. Topics may be
- when breastfeeding hurts
- amount of breast milk
- going back to work
- pumping and storing milk
- stop breastfeeding.

Costs: The health insurance company covers the costs of three lactation consultations.

Pelvic floor exercises

During pregnancy, after delivery, the pelvic floor muscles are getting weak. These muscles have to be strengthened again. During postnatal care I will give you instructions for pelvic floor exercises.
